Claims (5)
- 적어도 하나의 데이터 서버와 이동 통신 장치 간의 데이터를 갱신하기 위한 적응적 폴링 방법(adaptive polling method)에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 데이터 서버로부터 현재의 선취 기준(current pre-emptive criteria)을 검색하는 단계;상기 현재의 선취 기준을 이전에 저장된 선취 기준과 비교하는 단계; 및상기 현재의 선취 기준이 상기 이전에 저장된 선취 기준과 같지 않은 경우, 상기 데이터 서버와 이동 통신 장치 간의 상기 데이터를 갱신하고, 그렇지 않은 경우 상기 데이터 서버와 이동 통신 장치 간의 상기 데이터의 상기 갱신을 선취(pre-empting)하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 데이터 서버는 각각의 메시지 ID들에 의해 식별된 이메일을 저장하기 위한 메일 박스를 갖는 메일 서버이고, 상기 선취 기준은 상기 메일 박스 내 메시지의 수, 메일 박스 크기, 및 가장 최근의 메시지 ID로 구성된 그룹 중에서 선택되는 방법.
