Abstract

본 발명은 연소 공동부(combustion cavity)를 포함하는 디젤 엔진용 피스톤에 관한 것이다. 피스톤 크라운과 공동부가 코팅으로 프라즈마 분무되어져 있다. 본 발명의 목적은 비용이 효과적인 방법으로 상기한 코팅을 생산하는 것이다. 이것을 성취하기 위하여 상기 코팅은 상기 공동부의 경계 범위에서 더 큰 층두께를 가지는 불균일한 층두께를 가진다.

디젤 엔진용 피스톤{DIESEL ENGINE PISTON}
SAE-논문 860888호 "디젤 엔진에서 세라믹 및 금속 코팅의 사용중 성능(In-Service Performance of Ceramic and Metallic Coatings in Diesel Engines)" 으로부터 디젤-피스톤의 경우에 MCrAlY-플라즈마 분무층들을 갖는 피스톤 크라운의 코팅에 의하여 침식이 방지될 수 있다는 점 그 자체가 공지되어 있다. 물론 여기에 소개된 결과들은 순수한 연구 결과들이며 지금까지 실제로 응용된 것은 발견되지 않았으며, 그리고 침식 방지를 위하여 주어진 분무층들이 항상 지르콘디옥사이드로부터 된 층들과 관련하여 고려되어 왔으며, 상기 층들에 대하여 이들은 부착층 및 침식 방지층으로서 작용한다. 상기 SAE-논문에서는 상기 층의 제조를 위한 자세한 설명들은 행하여지지 않았다.
본 발명은 청구범위 제1항의 전제부에 따른 디젤 엔진용 피스톤에 관한 것이다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 피스톤의 피스톤 크라운의 도면.
따라서 본 발명은 상기한 종류의 분무층들을 역시 경제적인 제조에 관한 관점에서 순서에 적당하게 만드는 문제를 가지고 다루고 있다.
상기한 문제는 청구범위 제 1 항의 특징부의 특징에 의하여 해결된다. 유리한 실시예들은 종속항들의 대상이다.
이러한 종류에 해당하는 피스톤은 또한 DE 29600036호로부터 공지되어 있다. 상기한 피스톤의 경우에 피스톤 크라운의 그을음은 알루미늄 합금 또는 세라믹으로 된, 특히 지르콘디옥사이드 또는 다른 내열성 산화물들로부터 된 층이 피스톤 크라운 위에 형성되는 것에 의하여 방지될 것이다.
다만, 선택적으로 거기서 피스톤 크라운상에는 세라믹층과 그리고 기본재료의 사이에 NiCrAl-합금으로 된 또 하나의 침식 방지층이 적층된다.
세라믹 층으로 되어 있으며 어떤 합금으로 된 또 다른 층으로 되어있는, 이종류의 코팅의 제조는 비용이 많이 들며 시간이 많이 들며 따라서 고가이다.
그래서 본 발명에 따른 코팅들은 바람직하게는 추가적인 세라믹 코팅부를 가지지 않으며, 다만 MCrAlY-층으로 되어 있으며, 이 경우에 M은 Ni, Fe 및 Co 와 같은 금속들을 대표하고 있다.
본 발명에 따른 분무층의 두께는 변동하며 그리고 공동부의 경계의 범위에서 가장 크며, 한편 이것은 피스톤 크라운 상에서 반경 방향으로 외측을 항하며 그리고 공동부 내에서 공동부 기초부 쪽으로 감소한다.
특히 피스톤 크라운, 그러나 역시 공동부는 코팅부가 피스톤 크라운과 대략 한줄이 되게 끝나며 그 결과로 피스톤 크라운의 코팅되지 않은 표면이 코팅된 범위의 표면이 동일한 평면에 놓이며 그리고 코팅되지 않은 피스톤의 경우와 동일한 압축비가 설정되도록 코팅부의 범위내에서 선반 작업에 의해서 비워진다.
상기 층 두께는 대부분이 50㎛-500㎛의 범위에, 공동부의 경계에서는 특히200㎛-400㎛에 놓여있다. 상기 층의 제조를 위한 방법으로서는 프라즈마 분무가 선호된다.
이하, 실시예를 참조하여 본 발명을 상세히 설명한다.
강으로 되어 있는 피스톤 크라운(1)은 연소 공동부(2)와 그리고 실린더 헤드에 향하여진 표면(3)을 갖는다. 상기 표면(3)과 연소 공동부(2)를 적어도 부분적으로 덮고 있는 플라즈마 분무층(4)은 상기 공동부의 경계(5)의 범위에서 그의 최대의 두께를 가지며 그리고 이것은 층 두께를 반경 방향으로 외측을 항하여 그리고 공동부 기저부 쪽으로 감소시키고 있다. 이 경우에 분무층은 척도에 의한 것이 아니며, 층 두께의 진행의 명료화를 위하여 확대되어서 표시되어 있다.
따라서, 상술한 바와 같은 본 발명에 따른 디젤 엔진용 피스톤은 분무층들을 역시 경제적인 제조에 관한 관점에서 순서에 적당하게 제조되는 탁월한 효과가 있다.

Claims (4)

  1. 하나의 연소 공동부를 가지며 그리고 실린더 헤드로 향하여진 피스톤 크라운의 표면을 가지며 그리고/또는 연소 공동부 내에는 NiCrAl-합금 또는 CoCrAl-합금, 양 합금으로부터의 혼합물 또는 FeCrAl-합금으로 되어 있으며 열간 분무에 의하여 적층된 코팅을 가지며, 적어도 피스톤 크라운이 강으로 되어 있는 디젤 엔진용 피스톤에 있어서,
    공동부 경계의 범위에서 가장 큰 층 두께가 존재하며 그리고 상기 층 두께는 상기 피스톤 크라운에서 반경 방향으로 외측을 향하여 그리고 연소 공동부에서는 공동부 기저부쪽으로 감소하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디젤 엔진용 피스톤.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 코팅은 피스톤 상에서 단일한 열적 분무층으로서 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디젤 엔진용 피스톤.
  3. 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
    상기 코팅 합금은 추가적으로 이트륨을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디젤 엔진용 피스톤.
  4. 전 항들 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 피스톤 크라운과 연소 공동부는 코팅되지 않은 피스톤의 경우와 동일한 압축비를 얻기 위하여 뒤에 코팅하고자 하는 층의 그때그때의 층두께에 대략 상응하는 치수로 선반 가공에 의하여 제거되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디젤 엔진용 피스톤.
