Abstract
Description
Claims (12)
- 복수 개의 화소가 메트릭스 형태로 배열된 디스플레이 장치로서, 상기 화소는,제1 편광판;상기 제1 편광판 하부에 구비되는 것으로 전기적 제어에 의해 입사광의 투과율을 조절하는 액정층;상기 액정층의 하부에 구비되는 반사형 제2편광판;상기 제2편광판의 하부에 구비되는 백라이트 유닛; 및상기 백라이트 유닛의 하부에 구비되는 광 흡수층;을 포함하고,상기 제2편광판이 상기 액정층 내에 인셀 구조로 구비되며,외부광을 이용하여 화상을 표시하는 반사 모드와 상기 백라이트 유닛을 이용하여 화상을 표시하는 투과 모드가 상호 전환 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1 편광판 상부에 확산판이 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 2항에 있어서,상기 확산판이 상기 제1 편광판에 밀착되어 공기 층의 매개 없이 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 2항 또는 제 3항에 있어서,상기 확산판의 상부에 반사 방지층이 더 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 삭제
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제2 편광판과 백라이트 유닛 사이에 1/4 파장판이 더 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 백라이트 유닛과 광 흡수층 사이에 반사형 제3 편광판이 더 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 백라이트 유닛과 광 흡수층 사이에 스위칭 미러가 더 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 8항에 있어서,상기 백라이트 유닛과 스위칭 미러 사이에 편광 변환층이 더 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제1편광판과 액정층 사이에 제1 칼라 필터층이 구비되고, 상기 제2편광판 하부에 제2 칼라 필터층이 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 2항 또는 제 3항에 있어서,상기 확산판이 경사 입사광에 대해서는 헤이즈가 작고, 정면 입사광에 대해서는 헤이즈가 크도록 설계되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1항 내지 제 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 백라이트 유닛은 휘도의 반치전각이 ±20°범위로 집광된 빔을 조사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 장치.
