Claims (11)
- 배향막의 배향 처리 조건이, 모족압흔량(毛足壓痕量) 0.2∼0.8 mm, 스테이지 이동 속도 5∼250 mm/sec, 롤러 회전 속도 500∼2,000 rpm 에서 러빙 처리가 행해지고, 액정 배향막이, 이하에 나타내는 식 1-1 내지 식 1-38 로 표시되는 테트라카르복시산 2 무수물 중 적어도 1 종과, 4, 4'-디아미노디페닐에탄으로부터 얻어지는 폴리이미드인, 하기 식 (1)로 나타내어지는 배향막 상의 액정층의 배향도 Δ를 0.05 ~ 1 이 되도록 할 수 있는 액정 배향막:{상기 식 (1)에서, A∥는 배향 처리 방향으로 평행한 편광 성분을 가지는 적외광을 액정층에 입사시켰을 때의 액정층의 특성기(特性基) 진동에 의한 흡광도이며, A⊥는 배향 처리 방향에 수직인 편광 성분을 가지는 적외광을 액정층에 입사시켰을 때의 액정층의 특성기 진동에 의한 흡광도이며, 액정이 하기 구조의 화합물(이하, 8CB로 약칭함)을 이용하는 경우이다:
