Claims (5)
- 영상을 표시하는 액정 패널과, 그 액정 패널을 조사하는 광원을 구비하고, 입력 영상 신호의 특징량에 따라서 상기 광원의 발광 휘도를 가변 제어하는 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 액정 패널에 표시하는 영상 신호를 입력하는 입력 소스를 시청자가 절환함으로써, 입력 모드를 선택하는 입력 모드 선택 수단을 구비하고,상기 입력 모드 선택 수단에 의해, 텔레비전 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드가 선택된 경우 상기 광원의 발광 휘도를 상기 입력 영상 신호의 특징량에 따라서 가변 제어하고, 텔레비전 영상 신호 이외의 소정의 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드가 선택된 경우 상기 광원의 발광 휘도를 상기 입력 영상 신호의 특징량에 상관없이 일정하게 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 영상을 표시하는 액정 패널과, 그 액정 패널을 조사하는 광원을 구비하고, 입력 영상 신호의 특징량에 따라서 상기 광원의 발광 휘도를 가변 제어하는 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 액정 패널에 표시하는 영상 신호를 입력하는 입력 소스를 시청자가 절환함으로써, 입력 모드를 선택하는 입력 모드 선택 수단을 구비하고,상기 입력 모드 선택 수단에 의해, 텔레비전 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드가 선택된 경우 상기 광원의 발광 휘도를 상기 입력 영상 신호의 특징량에 따라서 가변 제어하고, 텔레비전 영상 신호 이외의 소정의 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드가 선택된 경우 상기 입력 영상 신호의 특징량에 따라서 상기 광원의 발광 휘도를 가변 제어하는 처리를 정지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 소정의 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드는, 컴퓨터 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 소정의 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드는, 게임 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 소정의 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드는, 전자 서적 영상 신호를 입력 영상 신호로 하는 입력 모드인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
