Claims (20)
- 조명 장치와 반사형 액정 표시 장치를 구비한 표시 장치로서,상기 조명 장치는, 제1 기판과, 상기 제1 기판 상에 배치된 발광 소자를 구비하고, 상기 발광 소자의 한 쪽의 면을 상기 반사형 액정 표시 장치의 표시면에 대향시켜 배치되어 있고,상기 반사형 액정 표시 장치는, 편광층과, 공통 전극과, 상기 공통 전극과 대향하여 배치된 반사 전극과, 상기 공통 전극 상 및 반사 전극 상의 각각에 배치된 한 쌍의 배향막과, 상기 공통 전극 및 상기 반사 전극 사이에 끼워진 액정층과, 상기 반사 전극이 배치된 제2 기판을 구비하고, 상기 편광층은, 금속층이 패터닝되어 이루어지는 회절 격자인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 금속층은, 알루미늄층인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 편광층과 상기 공통 전극 사이에, 광 산란층이 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자는, 양극 및 음극을 구비한 유기 일렉트로루미네센스 소자로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서상기 양극, 상기 음극 중 적어도 한 쪽은, 스트라이프 형상으로 패터닝되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 음극이 스트라이프 형상으로 패터닝되고, 그 음극이 상기 양극의 상방에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 유기 일렉트로루미네센스 소자는, 상기 양극과 상기 음극 사이에 전자 수송층, 발광층, 및 정공 수송층을 구비하고, 상기 전자 수송층, 발광층 및 정공 수송층 중, 적어도 하나가 스트라이프 형상으로 패터닝되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.

- 제1항에 있어서,상기 조명 장치는, 상기 발광 소자를 덮고, 발광 소자로부터의 광을 집광함과 함께, 상기 반사형 액정 표시 장치의 표시부를 향하여 반사하는 반사막을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자는, 적어도 1개의 특정 파장에 피크를 갖는 광을 상기 반사형 액정 표시 장치의 표시부를 향하여 조사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 조명 장치와 반사형 액정 표시 장치를 구비한 표시 장치로서,상기 조명 장치는, 제1 기판과, 이 제1 기판 상에 배치된 발광 소자를 구비하고, 상기 발광 소자의 한 쪽의 면을 상기 반사형 액정 표시 장치의 표시면에 대향시켜 배치되어 있고,상기 반사형 액정 표시 장치는, 편광층과, 공통 전극과, 상기 공통 전극과 대향하여 배치된 반사 전극과, 상기 공통 전극 상 및 반사 전극 상의 각각에 배치된 한 쌍의 배향막과, 상기 공통 전극 및 상기 반사 전극 사이에 끼워진 액정층과, 상기 반사 전극이 배치된 기판을 구비하고, 상기 편광층은, 2색성 염료 분자가 규칙적으로 배열되어 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 편광층과 상기 공통 전극 사이에, 광 산란층이 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자는, 양극 및 음극을 구비한 유기 일렉트로루미네센스 소자로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 양극, 상기 음극 중 적어도 한 쪽은, 스트라이프 형상으로 패터닝되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 음극이 스트라이프 형상으로 패터닝되고, 그 음극이 상기 양극의 상방에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 유기 일렉트로루미네센스 소자는, 상기 양극과 음극 사이에 전자 수송층, 발광층, 및 정공 수송층을 구비하고, 상기 전자 수송층, 발광층 및 정공 수송층 중, 적어도 하나가 스트라이프 형상으로 패터닝되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자의 다른 쪽의 면을 피복하도록 하여, 차광층이 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자는, 상기 제1 기판 상에 스트라이프 형상으로 배치되고, 그 길이 방향과 상기 표시면 상에서의 시야각이 넓은 방향이 직교하도록 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
