- 한 쌍의 기판 사이에 액정을 끼워서 이루어진 액정 패널과,상기 액정 패널의 한쪽에 배치된 편광판과,상기 액정 패널에 대하여 상기 편광판의 반대측에 배치되고, 소정 상태의 편광 성분의 광을 반사하고, 이와는 다른 편광 성분의 광을 투과하는 기능을 갖는 반사 편광자와,상기 반사 편광자에 대하여 상기 액정 패널의 반대측에 배치되고, 비발광 시의 휘도율이 40%이하인 조명 장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 한 쌍의 기판 사이에 액정을 끼워서 이루어진 액정 패널과,상기 액정 패널의 한쪽에 배치된 편광판과,상기 액정 패널에 대하여 상기 편광판의 반대측에 배치되고, 소정 상태의 편광 성분의 광을 반사하고, 이와는 다른 편광 성분의 광을 투과하는 기능을 갖는 반사 편광자와,상기 반사 편광자에 대하여 상기 액정 패널의 반대측에 배치되고. 비발광 시에 광흡수기능을 갖는 조명 장치를 갖는 액정 장치로서,상기 조명 장치는 상기 반사 편광자 측으로 광을 출사시키는 발광부와, 상기 반사 편광자 측으로부터 입사하는 광을 흡수하는 광 흡수체를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 한 쌍의 기판 사이에 액정을 끼워서 이루어진 액정 패널과,상기 액정 패널의 한쪽에 배치된 편광판과,상기 액정 패널에 대하여 상기 편광판의 반대측에 배치되고, 소정 상태의 편광 성분의 광을 반사하고, 이와는 다른 편광 성분의 광을 투과하는 기능을 갖는 반사 편광자와,상기 반사 편광자에 대하여 상기 액정 패널의 반대측에 배치되고, 비발광 시에 광흡수기능을 갖는 조명 장치를 갖는 액정 장치로서,상기 조명 장치는 광원과, 상기 광원으로부터의 광을 상기 반사 편광자 측으로 출사하는 도광체와, 상기 반사 편광자 측으로부터 입사하는 광을 흡수하는 광 흡수체를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 한 쌍의 기판사이에 액정을 끼워 이루어지고, 소정 상태의 편광 성분의 광을 반사하고, 이와는 다른 편광 성분의 광을 투과하는 제 1 상태와, 거의 모든 광을 투과하는 제 2 상태를 전환할 수 있는 액정 패널과,상기 액정 패널의 반대측에 배치되고, 비발광 시의 휘도율이 40%이하인 조명 장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.

- 한 쌍의 기판 사이에 액정을 끼워서 이루어진 액정 패널과,상기 액정 패널의 한쪽에 배치된 편광판과,상기 액정 패널에 대하여 상기 편광판의 반대측에 배치되고, 소정 상태의 편광 성분의 광을 반사하고, 이와는 다른 편광 성분의 광을 투과하는 기능을 갖는 반사 편광자와,상기 반사 편광자에 대하여 상기 액정 패널의 반대측에 배치되고, 비발광 시에 광흡수기능을 갖는 조명 장치를 갖는 액정 장치로서,상기 액정 패널은,복수의 데이터선과 복수의 주사선의 교차부분마다 형성된 도트에 전압이 인가됨으로써 구동되고,상기 데이터 신호선에 공급되는 데이터 신호를, 상기 조명 장치의 점등 상태에 대응하여 변환함으로써, 상기 액정 패널로부터 출사되는 광의 편광축을 변화시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 조명 장치가 점등일 때의 표시색과 소등일 때의 표시색이 보색 관계가 되도록 상기 데이터 신호를 변환하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 6 항 기재의 액정 장치를 표시부로서 탑재한 것을 특징으로 하는 전자 기기.
