Claims (4)
- 상부기판과,상기 상부기판과 소정 거리를 두고 배치되며, 게이트버스라인과 데이타버스라인이 단위 화소를 구성하도록 매트릭스 형태로 배열된 하부기판;상기 상부 및 하부기판 사이에 개재되는 수개의 액정 분자를 포함하는 액정층;상기 하부기판의 단위 화소에 각각 형성되는 카운터 전극;상기 카운터전극과 소정부분에서 콘택되도록 배치되면서 상기 게이트버스라인과 평행하는 제 1부분과, 상기 제 1부분으로부터 연장되고 상기 카운터전극과 콘택되며 상기 카운터전극과 상기 데이타버스라인 사이에 배치되는 제 2및 제 3부분을 포함한 공통신호선과,상기 공통신호선의 제 2 및 제 3부분 중 어느 한 부분과 오버랩되도록 연장된 제 1브렌치와, 상기 제 1브렌치로부터 연장되고 상기 카운터전극을 제 1및 제 2영역으로 이분하도록 상기 게이트버스라인과 평행하게 연장되는 제 2브렌치와, 상기 제 1및 제 2브렌치로부터 상기 카운터전극의 제 1영역을 향하여 사선형태로 연장된 다수개의 제 3브렌치와, 상기 제 1및 제 2브렌치로부터 상기 카운터전극의 제 2영역을 향하여 사선 형태로 연장된 다수개의 제 4브렌치를 포함하며, 상기 카운터 전극과 함께 프린지 필드를 발생시켜, 단위 화소내 대부분의 액정 분자를 동작시키는 화소전극;상기 하부 기판과 액정층 사이에 개재되며, 소정의 러빙축을 갖는 수평 배향막;상기 상부 기판과 액정층 사이에 개재되는 수직 배향막;상기 하부 기판 외측면에 배치되며 소정의 편광축을 갖는 편광자; 및상기 상부 기판의 외측면에 배치되며, 소정의 흡수축을 갖는 분해자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 하부 기판과 상기 편광자 사이 및 상기 상부 기판과 상기 분해자 사이에 각각 제 1및 제 2위상 보상 필름이 더 개재되는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1및 제 2위상 보상 필름은 경화된 디스크 타입의 액정 분자들로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 수평 배향막의 러빙축은 상기 편광자의 편광축과 일치하며, 편광축과 흡수축은 서로 직교하는 것을 특징으로 하는 FFS-LCD.
