Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a wiper from its unnecessary or unnatural action, by controlling an integrated value so as to be reset when it increases not exceeding a threshold value even after the fixed time from a start of integrating raindrop pulses. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control unit 10 uses a microcomputer which performs integration of raindrop pulses, comparison of the integrated value, counting of the integrated time, resetting by the time over, etc., and the electronic control unit 10 controls the integrated value so as to be reset when it increases not exceeding a threshold value even after the fixed time from a start of integrating the raindrop pulses from a raindrop sensor 1. In this way, if a time limit is given to the integrating action of the raindrop pulses, the integrated value, before it reaches the threshold value, is reset when a rainfall is in a small amount, and the integrated value is reset in every fixed time. Accordingly, a wiper can be prevented from performing its unnecessary or unnatural action.

に雨滴パルスの積算動作に時間制限を加えようとするも
のである。

〔従来の技術〕[Conventional technology]

従来の雨滴感知式自動ワイパ駆動装置は、第4図に示す
ように、雨滴センサ1からの雨滴パルスを積分回路2で
積算してその積算値を比較回路3で所定のしきい値と比
較し、積算値がしきい値を越えたらリレー4をオンにし
てワイパモータ5を動作させるという方式が多い。ワイ
パの機構部は図示していないが、モータ5の回転で1往
復動作するとカムスイッチと呼ばれる動作完了検出スイ
ッチで積分回路2にリセット(RS T)がかかり、比
較回路3の出力が反転してリレー4がオフになる。この
時点から積分回路2は積算動作を再開するので、各部の
動作波形は第5図の様になる。つまり、RSTから次の
RSTまでがワイパの動作周期となり、これは雨量の多
い程短かくなる。

値がしきい値を越えてもワイパは動作する。また、ノイ
ズが積算されても誤動作する。

作させると共に該積算値をリセットする自動ワイパ駆動
装置において、該雨滴パルスの積算開始から一定時間を
経過しても精算値が該しきい値を越えないときは該積算
値をリセットするように制御することを特徴とするもの
である。

トするように制御することを特徴とする自動ワイパ駆動
