Claims (1)
- ピストン頂面に開口するキヤビテイ内に吸気の
スワールを形成し、且つシリンダヘツドに配設し
た燃料噴射ノズルから上記キヤビテイの側壁に沿
つて燃料を噴射するように構成した直噴式デイー
ゼルエンジンであつて、上記キヤビテイの内壁に
おける底部近傍の周方向所定範囲内に、底面から
なだらかに連続すると共に上方に向つて段落ちし
た段部が形成されていると共に、上記燃料噴射ノ
ズルがこの段部に向けて燃料を噴射するように配
置されており、且つ該段部におけるスワール方向
下流側の端部がキヤビテイの側壁からスワールと
略直交する方向に立上る端面によつて構成されて
いることを特徴とする直噴式デイーゼルエンジン
。
