Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve high density of a recording image and simplification in its manufacture, by arranging by laminating a pair of power application electrodes which apply power selectively to heating resistors via an insulating layer between them. CONSTITUTION:A principal part of a recorder is composed of a head body 1 having an ink room 1 of a slit state, a heat energy application means 3 by which heat energy is applied to ink contained in the ink room 1 of the slit state, and an electrostatic field forming means 5 by which a specific electrostatic field is formed between an ink surface and a recording sheet 4. The heat energy application means 3 is formed onto a down side insulating layer 7 and is composed of a plurality of heating resistors 8 arranged over in a longitudinal direction of the down side insulating layer 7, an upper layer power application electrode 10 and a lower layer power application electrode 11 which are arranged by lamination via an insulating layer 9 between them and a switching circuit 13. Since the power application electrode of the heat energy application means 3 is composed of the upper layer power application electrode 10 and the lower layer power application electrode 11 which are arranged by lamination via the insulating layer 9 between them, the number of electrodes to be formed on a same surface can be reduced, and electrode density thereof can be decreased.
