Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the surfaces of an already printed ink from peeling off and suffering damage in printing processes using the squeegee principle, by bringing a squeegee into contact with a silk screen or a stencil plate only at its printing areas. CONSTITUTION:Recessed parts 2 and projecting parts 3 are provided on a squeegee 1. A first printing of a substance 5 to be printed is performed by squeegeeing such that the projecting parts 3 move on respective printing areas which have been formed in a printing plate 4. For a second and further subsequent printings, the ink is suitably replaced with another, and squeegeeing is successively performed after the position of the printing plate 4 relative to the substance 5 to be printed is shifted by the interval between the related printing areas. Since the squeegee 1 is brought into sliding contact with the printing plate 4, such as a silk screen, only at its printing areas, the strong contact between the surfaces of the already printed ink and the printing plate can be avoided, thereby enabling smooth printing without causing the surfaces of a brittle ink, such as a powder ink, to peel off or suffer damage.
