Abstract
PURPOSE:To attempt harmogeneity in composition as well as improvement in accuracy by depositing the film of a composite compound made of a specific Y-Ba-Cu-O series on a substrate in a linear or a ribbon form by means of vapour deposition, and heat-treating said film in oxidizing atmosphere thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A substrate made of metals such as Cu, Ni, Ti, Mo, Ta, W, Mn, Fe and the like or an alloy including these metallic elements, is formed into a linear or a ribbon form. Then, the film of a superconductor 12 is formed on the surface of the substrate in a ribbon form 11A and of the substrate in a linear form 11B. In this case, the film of the composite compound of an A- B-Cu-O series is bonded first by means of a physical phase growing method such as sputtering vapour deposition in such a way that the element ratio thereof falls within the range of O.5<(A+B)/Cu<2.5 wherein A represents at least one kind of Sc, Y and elements in lanthanium series (atomic number 57 through 71), and B represents at least one kind of elements such as those in IIa family. The composition of the superconductor thus formed is more harmogeneous in quality than that of conventional sintered bodies, thereby enabling accuracy to be highly improved.
