Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the shutdown time necessary for backwashing and to save labor requirements by detecting the pressure of raw water in a tank filter by a sensor, and automatically carrying out the regeneration of a filter medium consisting in stopping raw water supply, vibrating the filter medium, opening a water discharge port, etc. CONSTITUTION:The filter medium 3 such as the microporous thin film of an aromatic polyamide is fixed by a mounting frame 7, and an ultrasonic oscillator 10 provided at the upper part is connected to the filter medium 3 through a cross-shaped connecting rod 12 and a rubber connecting material 11. When the raw water such as waste water is ultrafiltered and the pressure of the raw water in the tank filter 2 increases to a specified value due to the clogging of the tank medium 3, the pressure is detected by the pressure sensor 14, a raw water feed pump 15 is stopped based on the detection value, the oscillator is operated to vibrate the filter medium 3, and the valve 16 of a water discharge pipe 6 is opened. The filter medium regenerating process is continued for a specified time, then the oscillator 10 is stopped, the valve 16 is closed, and the pump 15 is operated to resume filtration.
