Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an operational amplifier with a frequency compensation circuit having a superior high frequency characteristic and whose operating point is stabilized, by connecting two MISFETs with conductivity different from each other to the connecting node of a cascade stage. CONSTITUTION:A signal inputted to a pair of differential input consisting of the MISFETs M1, M2, and M9 is differentially-amplified and single-converted at the cascade stage consisting of the MISFETs M3, M4, and M10-M15, and is level-shifted by first and second source followers, and is inversely amplified, then, it is outputted. Frequency compensation is performed between an output terminal and a point A, and compensation with the same level can be applied on the signal inputted from either input terminal of differential input of (+) and (-). Since the same bias condition as that of each transistor at the cascade stage is attached on each transistor in the frequency compensation circuit, the stabilization of the operating point can be obtained.
