Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 技術分野 本発明は光照射に対する安定性を向上させたシアニン色
素記録層を有する光学的情報記録媒体に関する。
従来技術 従来、回転しているディスク状の情報記録媒体にレーザ
光を照射して情報の記録再生を行なう情報記録再生装置
が知られている。この種の情報記録装置に用いられる情
報記録媒体とじては基板、金属反射膜および色素を含む
半透明着色層から構成されているものが知られている。
この記録媒体は色素を含む半透明着色層に入射するレー
ザ光が金属反射膜に達して反射されるようにして反射光
を検出し易いようにしたものであって、この際前記金属
反射膜は着色層のみでは不足する反射光量を補なうため
に設けられている。しかしながら、金属反射膜の存在は
情報記録媒体の構成を複雑にすると共に高コスト化の原
因となっている。そこで、反射率の高いブロンズ光沢の
ある有機色素単層膜を使用して上記欠点を除去すること
が提案されている、特に、記録膜として光吸収の大きい
シアニン色素を用いると、膜厚300λ〜600λで金
属光沢(反射率20〜60%)を示す光吸収反射膜が得
られ、レーザ記録可能で、反射読出が可能になる。特に
レーザ光源として波長750〜850 nmの半導体レ
ーザを用いると装置の小型化が可能になるという利点が
得られる。ところが、波長750〜850 nmに吸収
のあるシアニン色素は一般に保存性が劣り光照射によシ
分解するという欠点があった。
目   的 本発明は上記の欠点に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的
は光照射に対する安定性にすぐれかつ反射率の高い光学
的情報記録媒体を提供することにある。
概要 上記目的を達成するために、本発明はシアニン色素より
も長波長域に光吸収を有する遷移金属錯体を記録層の成
分に使用することである。
すなわち、本発明の光学的情報記録媒体は基板上にシア
ニン色素と該色素よりも長波長域に光吸収を有する遷移
金属錯体とからなる記録層を有することを特徴とするも
のである、 本発明において用いられるを移金属錯体は下記の構造式
によって表わすことができる。
(式中、Ml−jニッケル、白金および/ξラジウムか
ら選ばれた遷移金属であり、R1およびR2は同じか一
!たけ異なっていてもよくそれぞれはアルキル基、フェ
ニル基、アルキル仰換フェニル基、アルコキシ置換フェ
ニル基捷たはジアルキルアミノフェニル基を表わすかあ
るいはR1およびR2は一緒になってチ■を形成し7て
もよい)遷移金属錯体の例としては、ビス(4−ジエチ
ルアミノジチオベンジル)ニッケル、ヒ゛ス(4−・ジ
メチルアミノジチオベンジル)ニッケル、ビス(3,4
,5,6−テトラクロロ−1,2−ジチオフエニル)ニ
ッケルなどをあげることができる。
ビス(4−ジエチルアミノジチオベンジル)ニッケルは
波長1000 nm付近に吸収を有する物質として知ら
れている。
本発明において使用されるシアニン色素は通常ハロゲン
化鋼の分光増感色素として知られているものである。か
かる色素には一般に、例えば下記文献に記載されている
シアニン色素が包含される。米国特許第1,846,3
01号および同第1.846.30!号、同第1,94
2,854号、同第1.990.507号、同第2,1
12.140号、同第2,165,338号、同第2,
493,747号、同第2,739,964号、同第2
,493,748号、同第2,503,776号、同第

よび英国特許第450,958号ならびに米国特許第3
,690,891号明細書。
本発明における基板材料は使用レーザ光に対して透明で
あっても不透明であってもよい。ただし、基板側からレ
ーザ光で書込み記録を行なう場合書込みレーザ光に対し
て透明でなければならない。基板と反対側から■込み記
録を行なう場合書込みレーザ光に対して透明である必要
はない。しかしながら読み出し再生を透過光で行なう場
合は、読、み出しレーザ光に対して透明でなければなら
ない。利賀としてはガラス、プラスチックス、紙、板状
寸たは箔状の金属等の一般の記録材料の支持体でよい。
特[プラスチックスが安全性、記録感度向上、平面性の
点から好適である。
本発明における記録層は例えばシアニン色素と遷移金属
錯体とを有機溶媒に溶解した溶液を基板上に塗布するこ
とによって形成することができる。有機溶媒としては例
えばメタノール、メチレンジクロライド、1,2−ジク
ロロエタンなどを使用できる。塗布はスプレー、ローラ
ーコーティング、ディッピングおよび回転塗布などの慣
用のコーティング法によって行なわれる。
本発明の光学的情報記録媒体について使用されるレーザ
光はN2、He−Cd 、 Ar、 He−Ne 、 
/l/ビー、半導体、色素レーザなどがあげられるが、
特に軽量性、取り扱いの容易さ、コンパクト性などの点
から、半導体レーザが好適である。
実施例 以下の実施例によって本発明をさらに具体的に説明する
がとハに限定されるものではない。
実施例 1 シアニン色素として日本感光色素NK 2014(下図
の構造式) を用いそしてNK、 2014を1.25重清チ、ヒス
(4−シエヂルアミノジチオベンジル)ニッケルを0.
05重敗係含む1,2−ジクロロエタン溶液をアクリル
基板(三菱レイヨンアクリライトA)()に回転塗布し
てL”7さ50oXの記録n@を形成し、記録媒体を作
製した。この記録媒体に、波長790 nmの半導体レ
ーザ光をt54ttmK、紗って1/一ザバワー4mW
、記録周波数0.687514T1z 、ビット間隔1
.8 ttm (ビット長0.9μm )でfltシ録
して再生し、lIJ生イn号をスヤヤンニングフィルタ
のバンド幅3 Q KHzでメlタケタ埋(+If製ト
シトラッキングスコープTR4110用してスベクトル
ノ竹析したところC/N 50 dBがf!Iられた。
このサンプルに54000ルツクスのタングステンラン
プ光を60時間照射したところC/Nは変化しなかった
。反射率は28%から20%に低下したが吸J1メ率は
60%で変化しなかった。なお、上i’il、 )f’
r竜式は実際には と表示される場合もある。
比較例 1 実施例1と比較するため、色素NK2O14のみで膜厚
500λ記録膜を形成[2、記録媒体を作製した。同一
の条件で記録したところC/N50dBが得られたこの
サンプルに54000ルツクスのタングステンランプ光
を60時間照射したところC/Nが48dBに低下した
。反射率は28%から16LIJに低下し、吸収率も6
0%から52%に低下した。
実施例 2 実施例1においてニッケル錯体としてビス(4−ジメチ
ルアミノジチオベンジル)ニッケルを使用する以外には
実施例1に記載したとまったく同様にして記録媒体を作
製し試験を行ったところ反射率が28係から21係に低
下した。その他については実施例1のものと同様の結果
が得られた。
なお、本発明を記録層にシアニン色素を使用する場合に
ついて説明してきたが、シアニン色素以外の有機色素を
用いた場合においても本発明が適用できることは当業者
にとって3”!lj解できることである。
効果 上述のように構成された本発明の光学的情報記録媒体は
高感度、高1111/N (C/N )を&iF持した
ま1耐光保存性の向上をもたらす。

  1. 基板上にシアニン色素と該色素よりも長波長域に光吸収
    を有する遷移金属錯体とからなる記録層を有することを
