Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify operation in which a ship leaves or comes alongside a pier, by a method wherein devices, each provided in the lateral direction of a ship with a propeller, are vertically movably mounted to a ship hull, and the ship is moved rightwardly or leftwardly through rotational drive of the propellers. CONSTITUTION:Devices 1 and 2, each provided in the lateral direction of a ship hull with a propeller 4, are vertically movably mounted to the bow and the stern of a ship hull or arbitrary positions of the ship hull. The propeller 4 is rotated forwardly or reversely through hydraulic drive or with the aid of an electrically driven motor.
