Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain regenerated ink ribbons of high quality by providing a heating and melting device for regenerating ink ribbon and a ink thickness regulating part.
CONSTITUTION: The ink positioned at the range corresponding to the ribbon portion that is stopped on a plate 18 is melted, and both ends of a film are pulled and its width is shortened to make a portion in which ink is thicker as the ribbon 4 advances. A blade 25 is placed at right angle to the direction F1 of the movement of the ribbon 4 and it expands sideway the layer of ink that is molten to form a regenerated film 5c. This film 5c has uniform thickness and because of a equivalent amount of ink that has been moved to the surface of the range on which printing is to be made, the previous printed images are completely eradicated. Next, the ribbon passes nearby a fan, and the fan cools the ink until it solidifies.
