In this method, the color images 6 are transferred onto the recording paper 4 by superimposing them and instantaneously heating the base material 1 from the side of the base material 1 using the thermal head 5 for recording.

A method of applying hot melted ink onto a base material 1;
The ink material is dissolved or dispersed in a solvent, and the base material 1 is
There is a method of applying it. In the former case, when the ink material 2 melted by heating is dropped onto the base material 1 and applied, it quickly cools and hardens, so the ink material 2 and the base material 1 must be warmed while being applied, which complicates the application apparatus. Furthermore, this method cannot be applied if the ink contains ink components that do not melt under heat. On the other hand, according to the coating method using the latter solvent, fine voids (holes) are generated after the solvent evaporates, which impede heat conduction and cause a decrease in transfer sensitivity. Therefore, there is a method of heating and melting to fill this void (hole).
When naturally cooled at room temperature after melting, the components of the ink composition with the highest melting points solidify, so that the components that were well mixed separate, resulting in variations in the properties of the ink sheet 3.

After forming, the solvent is evaporated from the coating layer to form an ink layer composed of the ink material components on the sheet-like base material, and then the ink is applied so as to fill the voids in the ink layer. Provided is a method for producing an ink sheet, characterized by heating and melting the layer, and rapidly cooling the molten ink layer so that the plurality of ink material components are solidified in a uniformly dispersed state. Thereafter, by cooling and solidifying at a constant temperature for a short time, each component of the ink is solidified while remaining uniformly dissolved, resulting in an ink sheet having homogeneous properties.

First, the surface opposite to the coating is heated to 95° C. by the heating drum 12, and the ink is melted. Ru. Next, the ink is rapidly cooled from the back side by the water cooling pipe 13 and solidified.

sec, and the melting time is about 5 sec. The water cooling pipe 13 is made of aluminum and has water flowing inside it, so when it is used continuously, the heat accumulated in the water cooling pipe 13 is cooled by the flowing water, and the temperature of the water cooling pipe 13 is kept constant. It will be done. (20 in the example)
C) Since the ink is rapidly cooled at a constant temperature by the water-cooling pipe 13, the ink material components do not solidify in a uniformly dispersed state, unlike in conventional natural cooling, where the ink material components have a high melting point.
