Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a stereoscopic image signal with a short distance, by supplying two lights from window holes made with an equal interval to the interval of left and right human eyes on a shutter plate to an image pickup device as one light. CONSTITUTION:A shielding plate 6 is provided with two window holes 7L, 7R with an equal interval as the interval (d) of human left and right eyes, and each window hole is provided with shutter plates 8L, 8R rotated with motors 9L, 9R. Left and right lights are made incident to an optical wave director 12 via lens systems 11L, 11R alternately with the rotation of the shutter plates 8L, 8R. The optical wave director 12 unifies two lights into one optical path and supplies them to an image pickup device 15. The output of the image pickup device 15 is mixed with the synchronizing signal from a synchronizing signal generating circuit 17 and outputted to a terminal 19. This synchronizing signal controls the rotation of the motors 9L, 9R. Thus, a stereoscopic image signal with a short interval can be obtained with a small-sized camera.
