Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a readout circuit by reading microinstruction words by accessing a control storage device by using sequential addresses generated by a sequential address register. CONSTITUTION:A read-only storage device 30 is accessed by using the OP code of a software instruction word as a starting address to read the starting address of a microprogram and it is stored in an address register 31 with a load signal 34. When this starting address is supplied to a control storage device 32, an initial microinstruction word is read out and then stored in a microinstruction register 33 synchronizing with a clock signal, and it is further transferred to a decoder to exercise prescribed control. Simultaneously with the said operation, a count-up signal 35 is generated and supplied to the address register 31 to generate addresses successively, reading microinstructions successively.
