Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is H, lower alkyl, benzyl).
EXAMPLE: Trans-4-guanidinomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid 4'-carboxymethylphenyl ester hydrochloride.
USE: A protease inhibitor. Having strong inhibiting actions on trypsin, chymotrypsin, thrombin, urokinase, etc.
PROCESS: 4-Guanidinomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid or its reactive derivative (e.g., acid chloride, acid bromide, halogenocarbonic acid alkyl ester, etc.) is reacted with a compound shown by the formula II (R' is lower alkyl, benzyl) in a solvent, e.g., mdthylene chloride, an ether, etc. at -5°C to a reflux temperature in the presence of an amine, e.g., preferably triethylamine, tributylamine, etc., to give a compound shown by the formula I.
