Abstract
PURPOSE:To stick a spatter preventing compd. surely and to prevent welding defects by providing a course for dipping a tip part of a torch in the anti-spatter compd. to the moving path for a welding torch. CONSTITUTION:A solid spatter preventing compd. contained in a vessel 7 is softened to a liquid state by a heating means 17. The rotating and driving machine 12 of a rotating and driving mechanism 11 is driven before or after the end of the welding, and a lever 9 and a cover 10 are retreated in a counterclockwise direction. A torch 5 is moved to above a supporting material 6, and the torch 5 and the vessel 7 contg. the spatter preventing compd. are relatively moved in vertical direcrions so that these approach to each other. The torch 5 descends so that at least the tip part of the torch 5 is dipped in a liquified spatter preventing compd. 8 contained in the vessel 7. After it is dipped for a while, the torch 5 is moved upward and the position of the torck 5 is controlled so as to be ready for the next welding stage.
