Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the charge-and-discharge performance of a primary battery, which has manganese dioxide or the like as a depolarizer, by providing a zinc-ion blocking film in the middle of the positive and the negative electrodes. CONSTITUTION:In a primary battery containing both zinc used as a negative electrode and an oxide of manganese, mercury, silver, steel or ion used as an anode depolarizer, a zinc-ion blocking film is provided in the middle of the positive and the negative electrodes. As the result, zinc ions are prevented from migrating into the positive agent, and hydrogen ions are made to react as pole-formation ions. Consequently, a lower oxide developed by discharge can be converted into a higher oxide by charging without breaking the coupling grid fromed between the metal and oxygen.
