Abstract

PURPOSE:To make measuring pressure easily adjustable by making it possible to adjust the length of a spring that energizes the spindle of an inside diameter measuring machine. CONSTITUTION:When a pair of levers 18 turnable around a shaft 19 are gripped, a pressing member 21 forces a contact member 5 upward against a spring 6 and the spindle 4 fixed to the member 5 ascends simultaneously and therefore a measuring contactor 25 retracts into a cylindrical body 3 while lifting an operating body via tapered surfaces 25B, 23A by means of a spring 27. When the levers are released, the measuring contactor is pressed to the inside wall 30A of the hole by the motion reverse from the above. When an operating member 9 is turned, the member 8 engaged with the spiral groove 9A on the inside surface of said member 9 moves upward and downward along the long hole guide groove 2C of a cylindrical body 2 and therefore a moving member 7 moves as well, thereby adjusting the force of the spring 6. On the other hand, the displacement of a measuring shaft 5B is read with a dial gage 15.
