Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain external parts for a watch having corrosion resistance and golden color by wet plating brass with Ni and Cr in 2 layers and coating the plated brass with TiN by ion plating. CONSTITUTION:Die casting brass as a base material is wet plated with Ni and Cr in 2 layers for an undercoat to maintain the basic corrosion resistance of the brass. A film of a TiN alloy is then formed by an ion plating method. By this method external parts for a watch made of die casting brass having golden color can be easily obtd. without using gold.
