CONSTITUTION:An object coated arc electrode is obtained by coating a usual coating agent on the circumference of a carbon steel core wire containing 0.0035-0.009% O, 0.005-0.03% Al, and N limited to 0.008% or less. In this case, in case when O is under 0.0035%, a pit is apt to be generated, and when it exceeds 0.009%, blow-hole resistance is deteriorated, also when Al is under 0.005%, the blow-hole resistance is deteriorated, and when it exceeds 0.03%, the pit is generated. Moreover, when N exceeds 0.008%, the blow-hole resistance is deteriorated and also the toughness gets worse, and in any case, the X-ray efficiency shows a bad result.
