Abstract
PURPOSE:To cool hollow conductors efficiently by a method wherein two adjacent layers of hollow conductor disc-type coils make one pair and one or a plurality of pairs compose one refrigerant circulation path and the outermost layer of each pair is used as a supplying end and a recovery end of the refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:A hollow conductor is wound in layers along the radius direction to form one unit of disc-type 10 or 11. These units are arranged in plural layers and two adjacent disc-type coils 10 and 11 make ne pair. One of the hollow conductors 10a and 11a which occupy the outermost layers of both unit disc-type coils 10 and 11 respectively is used as a supplying end and another is used as a recovery end of the refrigerant. The refrigrant supplied from the hollow conductor 10a circulates in the disc-type coi 10 toward the hollow conductor 10b which occupies the innermost layer to reach the hollow conductor 11b which occupies the innermost layer of the disc-type coil 11 and is recovered from the hollow conductor 11a. With above cnstitution, the circulation path can be shortened and the hollow conductors can be cooled efficiently.
