Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the winding temperature effectively with limited manhours by reducing a rise in the temperature through cooling from four or three directions of a cylindrical coil wound in multiple which undergoes alternative right and left winding repeated by in shifting thereof. CONSTITUTION:Two each of six (A-F) conductors 1 are laid one upon another radially to form conductor trains which are so arranged axially as to form a cooling path each between the conductor trains. A layer 43 is spirally wound along a cylindrical surface of each conductor train axially spaced and then, a similar layer is wound on the layer 43 separated from the cooling path 44 to make three parallel double-layer cylindrical windings. In this case, these cylindrical windings undergo alternative right and left twistings repeatedly in shifting between the layers 43 and 45. In addition, three conductor trains 41 are changed in the axial order at a point where a passing is made across the end of the cylindrical winding on the layer 43 and the end of the cylindrical winding on the adjacent layer 45. Thus, the temperature of the windings can be lowered effectively with limited man-hours.
