Abstract

PURPOSE:Titled lubricating oil composition, excellent in miscibility with an alcohol and a gasohol, which is primarily composed of a specified polyoxyalkylene glycol monoether (or one compounded with a purified mineral oil). CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil composition (which can be compounded with about 30wt% or less of a purified mineral oil of kinematic viscosity about 4-40cst at 100 deg.C) for a two-cycle engine, driven by use of an alcohol or a gasohol (an alcohol-gasoline mixture) as a fuel, which is primarily composed of a polyoxyalkylene glycol monoether of the formula [wherein R is a 6-28C branched alcohol (e.g. 2- ethylhexanol) residue; m+n=3-20] (preferably one of kinematic viscosity of 1-30cst at 100 deg.C, e.g., UNISAFE AJ-5, a product of NIPPON YUSHI Co.) It is preferable to use said lubricating oil and a fuel in a volume ratio of 1:15-300.
