CONSTITUTION: In adding Al 3 for deoxidation into the molten steel 2 in a ladle 1, the Al ingot 3 of a flat plate shape immersed in the molten steel 2 is reciprocatively moved in the horizontal direction. At this time, the Al ingot 3 is kept square to its moving directions. According to this method, the variance of the Al concn. in the molten steel 2 is decreased and the yield of Al is considerably improved.
