Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of heat recovery, by installing a heat exchanger which produces steam with the heat of burning gas between a plenum chamber and a blower, so that the temperature of burning gas may be controlled. CONSTITUTION:A large number of radiant tube 4 are put to heating zone 2 and soaking zone 3 of the continuous annealing furnace, and its burning gas is accumulated in plenum chamber 1 after preheating the burning air with the recuperator. The temperature of about 800 deg.C of the burning gas will become about 500 deg.C through heat exchanger 10 during the course of sucking by blower 5. This burning gas is jetted onto steel plate 7 to be treated through a large number of jet nozzle 9 installed in preheating zone 8. After jetting, the exhaust gas of about 300 deg.C is diffused into air through blower 6. Heat exchaner 10 extracts water in the form of steam at waste-heat boiler, but it can extract water in the form of electric power by installing steam turbins.
