Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce moisture of materials, by releasing heated and compressed materials from the compression state and ejecting contained moisture as vapour by providing two taper parts in the screw body and providing the transfer part and the air suction hole for it.
CONSTITUTION: Materials such as sewarage sludge supplied from supply hole 3 are compressed between filtering screen 6 of casing 1 and the first taper part 31 of screw body 25. During this time, they are heated by heating means 13 and 36 to lower viscosity of the liquid, and they are dehydrated efficiently. Caked and heated materials get out of shape in the position of air suction hole 9 where screw body 25 is small-diameter, and moisture in materials becomes vapour and is sucked into suction hole 9. Materials made into flakes by promoting dehydration are compressed between the second taper part 32 and cylindrical casing 2 by screw blade 26 and are ejected from ejection hole 14. As a result, the contained moisture rate of the cake is reduced and is unified.
