Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively convert wave energy into electric energy, by setting a generator equipped with an speed increasing gear and flywheel to a joint of plural numbers of buoyant body.
CONSTITUTION: An speed increasing gear 10, coaxial with a crankshaft, is set to a joint 6 of buoyant bodies 1,1', and an output shaft 11 of the gear 10 is connected with a rotational shaft 8 of a generator 9 through a flywheel 13. As the buoyant bodies 1,1' are bent or stretched waves, turning force is generated at the joint 6. This rotation is multiplied by the gear 10 to be transmitted to the generator 9. Wave energy is thus effectively converted to electric energy.
