Abstract

PURPOSE: To start a manual starting device with certainty by incorporating a thrust mechanism and a speed-up mechanism inside of an interlocking mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A manual lever 9 and a starting gear 5 are supported by a bearing on a starting shaft 2. The gear 5 is engaged with the first middle gear 101 of small diameter which is supported by a bearing by a middle shaft 3. The large-diametered the second middle gear 102 is provided on the middle shaft 3 concentric with the first gear 101, and the second gear 102 is capable of engaging with a pinion gear 14 of a crank shaft 4. The starting gear 5 and the first gear 101 are formed by titled gears, and the first gear 101 is thrusted leftward when engaged to convey the rotation to the second gear 102. Since the diameters of the starting gear 5 and the second gear 102 are larger than those of the first gear 101 and the pinion gear 14, speed can be increased by two stages.
