Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve detecting accuracy of knocking, by controlling the generating timing of a gate signal which extracts a knocking signal from engine vibration in accordance with the engine revolution. CONSTITUTION:A timing pickup signal is applied to an input terminal 1, then a detecting circuit 2 detects the ignition timing from the signal. Output of the detecting circuit 2 is divided by a frequency divider 3 and put in a program counter 5. A peak level detector 6 detects amplitude of the timing pickup signal to control the program counter 5 and obtain a knocking gate (knock detecting signal) in accordance with the engine revolution.
