Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A hydroquinone derivative expressed by formula I R1 is H or a protecting group of the hydroxyl group which will not participate in the reaction; R2 is methyl or methoxy; n is an integer 1W10).
EXAMPLE: 1-Methyl-3-decaprenoxy-4,5-dimethoxybenzene-6-benzoate.
USE: A medicine, an intermediate raw material therefor, a raw material for a coenzyme Q homolog, etc.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II is reacted with a compound of formula III (X is bromine or chlorine), preferably in the presence of a basic catalyst, to give the compound of formula I.
