Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive to make the control of hydraulic screw down mechanism easy and to shorten the working time for exchanging the rolls, by building the gap adjusting block and the hydraulic unit for supporting the chocks in the rolling mill.
CONSTITUTION: The gap adjusting blocks 9a, 9b, are installed between the chocks 5a, 5b, of the lower backup roll 3b and the push-up cylinders 2a, 2b. The movement of lower rolls 3a, 3b, for adjusting the pass line "O" are caused by vertically moving the attachment of each blocks 9a, 9b.
