Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent mixture from abutting against a nozzle port to atomize fuel by arranging a secondary air supply pipe having nozzle openings opened obliquely upward and a mixing plate above the nozzle port between a carbureter and an intake manifold.
CONSTITUTION: A plate member 24 is interposed in the connection between a carbureter and an intake manifold. While a secondary air supply pipe 21 is inserted into the member 24, a semicircular nozzle port 22 is arranged on the end of the pipe 21. The nozzle port 22 is provided with a plurality of nozzle openings 22a opening obliquely upward. A mixing plate 23 arranged above the nozzle openings 22a to prevent mixture flow from above from abutting directly against the nozzle port so that a definite air flow from the nozzle port always collides against mixture after once abutting against the plate 23.
