Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize space increase due to installation of the direct coupled clutch and facilitate its installation on the vehicle by installing a damper-equipped direct coupled clutch mechanism between the impeller of the torque converter and the turbine core.
CONSTITUTION: The drive element 31 and the moved element 32 are connected respectively to the impeller core 6 of the impeller element 2 and the turbine core 12 of the turbine element 3 in the liquid type torque converter to form the direct coupled clutch. When the hydraulic oil is supplied to the oil passage 63 through the switch valve 62, the direct coupled clutch 30 connects power. In other words, hydraulic oil is led to the pressure chamber 50 through the oil passage 69, etc, and the piston 33 is caused to go in the left direction against the force of the spring 43. As a result, power is transferred to the output axle 14 through the impeller core 6, drive plate 35, damper member 34, moved plate 36, piston 33, turbine core 12, etc.
