Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain bond excelling in toughness by removing oxide film from joint face, by including self-fluxing alloy between ferriferous alloy members, and melting after heating the joint face to specified temperature, then removing the inclusion by applying pressure between said members. CONSTITUTION:Bond members 1A, 1B principally composed of at least one kind of Fe, Ni, Co are held by chucks 2A, 2B, and an insert member 3 is inserted into the end butt part thereof. The insert member possesses slag self-forming action, being a self-fluxing alloy having a lower melting point that the member to be bonded, and should be preferably an alloy containing 1-5wt% and 2-5wt% of B and Si, and less than 1wt% of C in the substrate metal of at least one kind of Ni, Co, Fe. Then, the joint face is heated to temperature above the melting point of the insert member and below the melting point of bond member by means of a high frequency induction coil 4. The melted insert member by press-fitting the bond member is discharged out of the joint face.
