Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce efficiently by saving the primary thermosetting process and increasing to a constant viscosity in a short time to provide a uniform seal width, by using a mixture of thermosetting epoxy resin and photosetting acrylic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A transparent conductive film 3 of SnO2 or the like is spread in a specified form on a substrate 1, on which, after rubbing for orientation control of liquid crystal molecule, is printed, by screen printing process, a seal material 9 containing a thermosetting epoxy resin and a photosetting acrylic resin by 10W30% with respect to the epoxy resin, and a phtosensitizer by 0.01W5wt% with respect to the acrylic resin, and a viscosity adjusting agent (such as aerozyl). Then, the viscosity is increased by radiating with an ultraviolet ray lamp for more than 10 seconds. The other electrode substrate is made to coincide with the electrode pattern, which are joined together by placing the seal material 9 between them, and secured by means of thermo-compression-bond. Injecting liquid crystal 6 from a liquid crystal injection port 7, a cell is completed by sealing with a sealing agent 8.
