Abstract
PURPOSE: Waste liquid is introduced into a rotary cylindrical body, the material adhered to the body is raised as the cylindrical body is rotated, hot air is blown to the waste liquid flowing down with the adhered material and thereby the water content in the waste liquid is evaporated and the waste material itself is burnt.
CONSTITUTION: Metered liquid 26 is filled in the kiln 3 to such an extent as the liquid may not be extruded from the combustion gas distribution port 24 and then the kiln 3 is rotated. As the kiln 3 is rotated, the string of beads 25 settled in the metered liquid 26 are raised out of the surface of the liquid. The metered liquid 26 adhered to the string of beads 25 coming out of the surface of the liquid is flowed down by its weight, exposed to a high temperature by hot air from the burner 22 when the liquid is flowed down and the water content will evaporate. When the water content is evaporated and the surface of the liquid in the kiln 3 is decreased, a surface detector will sense the decreased condition and then a new volume of metered liquid 26 is fed. In this way, the evaporation, the fall of the liquid surface and the feeding of the metered liquid are repeated and finally when the concentration of solid content is reached to a specified level, the feeding of the liquid is terminated and the drying operation is performed.
