Abstract
PURPOSE: To dry the distillation waste liquid of low-class sake, economically, by mixing the waste liquid with a starch waste of low water content, and rapidly drying by hot air.
CONSTITUTION: Starch waste in a tank 1 and distillation waste liquid of sake in a tank 6 are charged into a mixer and mixed. Because the starch waste contains only a small amount of water, the water content of the distillation waste is lowered by mixing with the starch waste. The mixture is rapidly dried in a high speed flush dryer 7 with hot air from a furnace 11. Dried cake is taken out from the furnace through a drying tube 11, further dried in a first cyclon 8-a, and transferred through the cooling air tube 14 to the third cyclon 8-c, in which the water-content is lowered to the desired level to obtain the low-cost dried distillation waste.
