Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure the predetermined ozone yield of a cylindrical ozonizer constructed by putting glass tubes internally covered with electrically conductive films into metal grounded electrode tubes, while reducing the no. of the electrode tubes, by prescribing the external size of each glass tube.
CONSTITUTION: In a cylindrical ozonizer using silent discharge, glass tube 3 internally covered with electrically conductive film 14 is put into metal grounded electrode tube 2 with discharge space 4 in-between to form a high voltage electrode tube. This glass tube used is below 2.5 mm in thickness, 1W2.5 m in length, 60W200 mm in diameter and below ±0.5 mm in external size allowance.
