Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain a prescribed air fuel ratio, by providing a fuel jet passage 10 with a solenoid valve 21, electrically detecting the degree of opening of a variable venturi part and controlling a driving pulse for the solenoid valve.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel jet passage 10 is provided with the solenoid valve 21, which is actuated by the driving pulse supplied from a control circuit 22. The valve element 25 of the solenoid valve is supported by a diaphragm 24 to intermittently open or close the fuel jet passage when a solenoid 23 is energized. The main input signal to the control circuit 22 is supplied from an air valve opening degree sensor 26 directly coupled to an air valve 6. Said main input signal is a voltage signal which is produced by the sensor 26 depending on the degree of opening of the air valve 6. since no needle is used, the manufacture of an electronically controlled carburetor is facilitated.
