Abstract
PURPOSE:To considerably enhance the efficiency of dissolving oxygen in water by passing water through the inside of a porous pipe and by feeding pressurized air from the outside through the pores to mix fine air bubbles into the water. CONSTITUTION:Air bubbles fed through the pores of porous pipe 2 by water flowing through the inside of pipe 2 at such a high speed as 1-3 m/S are cut short without being made long columnar by the shearing force of the water. The bubbles rapid ly move on the water stream, and the adjacent bubbles are prevented from adhering to each other. Thus, much finer air bubbles than those of a conventional method are obtd. Accordingly, vapor-liquid contact area is considerably increased, resulting in enhanced efficiency of dissolving oxygen in water.
