Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of transistor at excessive input, by providing the current limit circuit limiting the collector current with the control transistor of the circuit controlling the gain, in the pulsive noise detector. CONSTITUTION:The unit consists of the input terminal 1 fed with the high frequency input including pulsive noise, differential amplifier 2 amplifying the signal, full wave rectifying circuit 3 rectifying the output signal of the circuit 2, pulsive noise detection circuit 4 detecting the pulsive noise included in the output signal, smoothing circuit 5 generating the DC signal corresponding to the continuous noise level included in the output signal of the circuit 3, control circuit 6 to control the gain of the circuit 2, and first and second control transistors 8 and 9 connected to the circuits 5 and 6. In this case, the current limit resistor 26 is newly connected in series with the collector of the transistor 8. Thus, when the collector current is increased, voltage drop of the resistor 26 is increased to prevent the destruction by lowering the collector voltage.
