Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, low-noise rotary electric machine with fan efficiency raised to increase air feed rate by providing outside a centrifugal fan satisfying specified requirements. CONSTITUTION:The main plate 9a of an external fan 9 is inclined conically toward a housing 15, a plurality of blades 9b are attached to the plate 9a and the tip thereof is set in parallel with an axis 1, a notch 9c is provided in the opposite direction to the inclination of the plate 9a on the machine body side 14 of the tip of the blades 9b, and the side face 9d of the blades 9b on the opposite side of the plate 9a for obtaining a centrifugal fan. The relation between the outer diameter phiD2 of the fan 9 and the diameter phiD1 of the discharge port of a fan cover is set to D1/D2 1.35-1.45. A bottom portion 10d and a cylindrical portion 10c are interconnected by a conical portion 10f having angle beta 30 deg.-45 deg. with the axis 1 at an outer-circumferential angular portion 10e with A/D2 1-1.15, of the bottom 10d of the cover when the diameter of the angular portion 10e is phiA. Thereby, a small-sized, low-noise rotary machine can be obtained with the efficiency of the fan raised to increase air feed rate without any increase in size.
