Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure and to facilitate the fitting and removal of sheets by opening a sheet receiver plate wide and installing the sheets from the side opposite to a separation claw.
CONSTITUTION: In a cassette main body 11, a receiver plate 13 for mounting sheets 12 thereon in arranged rotatably about a shaft 14 in the direction of an arrow A. The receiver plate 13 is fitted with a spring plate 15, spring holder 16, and stopper 17. When the receiver plate 13 is closed, it engates a stopper 19 of the main body 11 so that the plate 13 cannot be opened unless the stopper 17 is slid rightward against the spring 15 by manual operation. The main body 11 is fitted with a separation claw 20 for separating and feeding out the uppermost layer of the sheets 12. While the claw 20 is holding the corner of the uppermost layer of the sheets 12, the normal separation is conducted by a pickup roller.
